Who Took Home Trophies
The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrated Hip Hop and R&B in style. On Monday night, March 17, the biggest names in music gathered at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with GloRilla, SZA, BossMan Dlow, and others taking home awards.
GloRilla won the coveted Hip Hop Artist of the Year Award, emerging victorious amid tough competition from Travis Scott, Drake, Future, and Kendrick Lamar. In another highlight, Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us,” which garnered five Grammy Awards in February, won Hip Hop Song of the Year.
In the Best New Artist category for Hip Hop, BossMan Dlow claimed his first award, competing against the likes of 310babii, BigXthaPlug, sexy drill artist Cash Cobain, and Jordan Adetunji, who seemed to be in the wrong category.
SZA was crowned R&B Artist of the Year, thanks to her successful album “LANA” and her performance at Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. She triumphed over Usher, Chris Brown, Muni Long, and Victoria Monét, all of whom had remarkable years.
The Best New Artist award for R&B went to 4batz, the Dallas singer who charmed audiences with his 2023 release “act ii: date @ 8” and subsequent singles like “act iii: on god? (she like)” and “roll da dice.” Additionally, Muni Long won R&B Song of the Year for her hit “Made For Me,” a ballad that captivated TikTok in 2024.
