ORIGINAL LINE BACK!

Blink 182 reunion. For the first time in almost ten years, blink-182 has released a new track with formerly estranged singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge. The original lineup of  Mark Hoppus on bass, Travis Barker on drums and DeLonge, on guitar,  haven’t worked together since the Dogs Eating Dogs EP was released in 2012.

The new song Edging has a strong rock beat and is instantly catchy. The trio have certainly come through a lot in the last ten years, and their fans seem delighted for the reunion. Any quick search on social media will reveal that many of them are already excited about the 70 dates World Tour. In talking about a new album, the band hopes to see this happen as the tour progresses. It seems that the emotional impact of Mark Hoppus battling stage four cancer and the support he received from bandmates Delonge and Scott significantly impacted the trio. DeLonge says, “Mark’s cancer put things in perspective” .

“Edging” feels like a celebration of life. This is a fun song that takes a look backwards but firmly focuses on the future and the joys of life yet to come. For Blink 182 fans, this reuniting has been long hoped for and is a huge deal. Still, DeLonge took the time to pay respect and be thankful to Matt Skiba, who replaced him as a guitarist. DeLonge has publically acknowledged the impact Skibba had on the band, saying, ” To be honest, the band would not even be here today if it were not for your ability to jump in and save the day. So from my heart to yours, thank you for being a member of our band.” Something that their army of fans wholeheartedly appears to support. Listen to this track and other great rock music here

Lyrics

I Ain’t That Cool, A Little Fucked In The Head
They’ll Be Hangin’ Me Quick When I’m Back From The Dead
Get The Rope, Get The Rope
Get The Rope, Get The Rope

I’m A Punk Rock Kid, I Came From Hell With A Curse
She Tried To Pray It Away, So I Fucked Her In Church
Don’t You Know? Don’t You Know?
Don’t You Know? Yeah, Don’t You Know?

They Say “You’re Not Safe Here If I
Stay With A Knife That Sharp”

No Way, No, I Leave Them Broken-Hearted
Oh No, Look At The Mess We Started
Oh No, I Leave The Broken Hearts This Way (This Way)
Whatcha Say? (Whatcha Say?) Wanna Play

Yea, Don’t Be Fooled, I’m Only Letting You Down
They Pursue Me On Foot, But I Hid In The Crowd
Like A Ghost, Like A Ghost
Like A Ghost, Like A Ghost

The Seats Of My Car Are Filled With Cigarette Burns
I Got A Fire In My Eye, A Little Blood On My Shirt
Let’s Hit The Road, Hit The Road
Hit The Road, Hit The Road

I Know There’s A Special Place In Hell
That My Friends And I Know Well
There’s A Perfect Place To Go
When It’s Time To Lose Contro

No, I Leave Them Broken-Hearted
Oh No, Look At The Mess We Started
Oh No, I Leave The Broken Hearts This Way (This Way)
Whatcha Say? (Whatcha Say?) Wanna Play?

Nightmare, Daydream (No, Oh No, Oh No, Oh No)
You Can’t Save Me (Oh No, Oh No, Oh No, Oh No)

No Way, No, I Leave Them Broken-Hearted
Oh No, Look At The Mess We Started
Oh No, I Leave The Broken Hearts This Way (Shit!)
Oh No, I Leave The Broken Hearted
Oh No, Look At The Mess We Started
Oh No, I Leave The Broken Hearts This Way
Whatcha Say? Everyday, It’s A Waste, Wanna Play?
