Xbox is expanding its Play Anywhere initiative, which lets you access games without a physical console. With Game Pass and cloud technology, Xbox has made its games playable on mobile devices, Samsung smart TVs, and now Amazon Fire Sticks. However, cloud gaming is not yet a proper substitute for a console with installed games, and an Xbox Game Pass subscription is needed to use the app. Xbox plans to continue expanding to more platforms, but it is not getting out of the console space entirely, as it is already working on a next-generation console.
